Ambuja
Cement Foundation (ACF), the CSR arm of India’s leading cement companyAmbuja
Cement Ltd.,marked its Silver Jubilee yearwith a grand celebration at its plant
in Baloda Bazaar,Bhatapara.
The event was a big draw and witnessed participation of employees from Ambuja’s
Bhatapara, Raigarh, Sankrail and Farakka facilities.
ACF’s 25 years of celebration was graced byDistrict
CollectorRajesh Singh Rana. Also present wereAmbuja Cement’s Director B. L
Taparia;ACF Head Pearl Tiwari;Manufacturing Cluster Head (East) Rajesh Kothari;
Sankrail Unit Head Arun Jhaand Raigad Mines Head Sariputta Mishra.
Commenting on themilestone,Ambuja Cement MD&CEO Ajay Kapursaid,“I
am extremely glad to be part of this incredible journey. Ambuja has

vital part of our social initiatives and this helps keep our Sustainable

Speaking about the
journey, Mr Taparia said the
founders had a very clear vision of nurturing community development and growth.
“The founders have always believed in giving equal importance to theprosperity
of neighbouring communities as much as to the growth of the business. For this
very purpose,ACF was established as a separate entity two-and-a-half decades
ago. The vision of the company’s founders Narotam Sekhsaria and Suresh Neotia
has come a long way and is yielding encouraging results today that we all are
proud of.”
Ms Tiwari elaborated ACF’s journey from
Ambujanagar in Gujarat in 1993 and its expansion to different locations across
India, improving the lives of millions of people.“We would like to thank our
regionalteams and their partners for driving a very robustand successful program
in the eastern belt,” she said.
“The team’s
incessant efforts and dedication have led ACF to scale greater heights over the
years.A special thanks to those local communities for joining hands for all our
endeavours. We look forward to the continuous support and further
collaborations from allstakeholders who have been part of thismemorable journey,”
added Ms Tiwari.
Recently, ACF’s Silver Jubilee year was celebrated with
a grand event at its mother plant in Ambujanagar.The event was graced by Ambuja
Cement’s Founder and Chairman Narotam
Sekhsaria whose single-minded visionary approach with a strong sense of
social commitment was instrumental in the creation of ACF.
